Legal Notice / Disclaimer
Last updated: 2026-07-18
This page sets out the legal notices and limitations of liability that apply to the use of the FastDocument website and services. By using the site or the services, you confirm that you have read and accepted these notices.
1. Informational Purpose; No Professional Advice
The content on the FastDocument website and related pages (including product descriptions, documentation, articles and these legal texts) is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute, and is not a substitute for, professional legal, financial, tax or regulatory-compliance advice.
In particular, before deciding whether identity verification (KYC) and document collection processes meet the regulations applicable to your industry (for example anti-money-laundering rules, know-your-customer obligations or sector-specific regulation), you should consult your own legal and compliance advisers. FastDocument does not, by itself, guarantee that your use of the services complies with the laws that apply to you.
2. KYC Results Are Decision Support Only
FastDocument’s identity verification service delivers the output of automated steps — document scanning, OCR/MRZ reading and checksum validation, face matching, liveness detection and anti-spoofing analysis — to the Brand as a verification result. This result is DECISION SUPPORT only: the final decision to accept, reject or further review an application always rests with the relevant Brand, and human review is part of the process.
No automated verification technology is error-free; false acceptances and false rejections can occur. If you are an End User whose identity was verified and you wish to contest a result, you may exercise your right to object to automated processing and to request human intervention (under Article 11 of the Turkish Data Protection Law (KVKK) and Article 22 GDPR) by contacting, in the first instance, the Brand that invited you to verify; see the KVKK / GDPR Privacy Notice and the Privacy Policy for details.
Likewise, the automated security processing (sanitisation/CDR) applied in the document collection service is a reasonable technical measure designed to reduce risks in uploaded files; it must not be read as an absolute guarantee that every kind of malicious content will be detected in all circumstances.
3. Accuracy and Currency of Information
FastDocument makes reasonable efforts to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date; however, the information is provided “as is” and no warranty, express or implied, is given as to its completeness, accuracy or currency. Product features, the scope of the services and these legal texts may be updated without prior notice; the “last updated” date at the top of each document indicates the current version.
4. Third-Party Sites and Services
The site or the services may contain links to third-party websites. FastDocument has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content, security or privacy practices of those sites; the presence of a link does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service.
The services rely on third-party infrastructure providers (sub-processors) for functions such as hosting, database, object storage, bot protection, payments and message delivery. Who these providers are and how personal data is processed are explained in the Privacy Policy and the KVKK / GDPR Privacy Notice. Outages or disruptions originating from third-party infrastructure may occur outside FastDocument’s reasonable control.
The content of the forms that Brands present to their own end users, the documents and data they request, and the purposes for which they use that data are the responsibility of the relevant Brand; in those flows the Brand acts as the data controller and FastDocument as the data processor.
5. Service Availability and Interruptions
FastDocument takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep the services running continuously; however, it does not undertake that the services will be available at all times, error-free and without interruption. Temporary outages may occur due to planned maintenance, updates, third-party infrastructure issues, network failures or force majeure.
Upload links are signed and single-use and expire after defined periods; the inability to complete an action through an expired link is not, in itself, a service defect. For the rights and obligations governing use of the services, see the Terms of Service.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FastDocument shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages (including loss of profit, loss of data, loss of reputation and loss of business) arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or the services, from decisions taken by Brands in reliance on verification results, from third-party sites and services, or from service interruptions.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability arising from wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and they do not remove any rights granted to consumers or data subjects by mandatory provisions of law.
The contractual allocation of liability between Brands and FastDocument, and any additional limitations, are governed by the Terms of Service and any other agreements concluded between the parties.
7. Governing Law and Contact
This legal notice is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of the place where the Company’s registered office is located shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this notice. For intellectual property matters see the Intellectual Property and Copyright Notice; for details on personal data see the Privacy Policy and the KVKK / GDPR Privacy Notice.
